Bob Neese, 64, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2013, surrounded by his family at his home near Fair Play, Missouri, after a courageous battle with cancer.

On March 31, 1949, Bob was born to Ray and Iva (Oliver) Neese, just outside Pisgah, Iowa. The tenth child of twelve children. He grew up on a farm and attended Pisgah Grade School, then the family moved to Phoenix, Arizona when he was nine years old. Bob attended Carl Hayden High School in Phoenix. He started working at the very young age of nine as a paper boy, and was honored as Paper Boy of the month for the Phoenix Gazette. Bob joined the Army in 1966 at age 17 and proudly served his country in the Vietnam War in 1968 as a Specialist 4th Class, Engineers. On February 8th, 1969, he married his high school sweetheart, Susan (Little)Neese in Phoenix, Arizona. In 1970 Bob and Susan moved to the Missouri Ozarks overlooking Lake Stockton. He worked as a truck driver for Associated Wholesale Grocers in Springfield, MO for 29 years and is a retired Teamster. He loved to fish and enjoyed taking his brothers and grandchildren out on the lake. Bob was a founding member of the Dadeville Lions Club, he coached his children's softball and little league baseball teams, was president of the Mighty Mite Football org., and a member of the Million Mile Club of safe drivers at AWG. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and rarely missed a game. Bob was a very hard worker and handy man who was always eager to help out his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, and blessed with four wonderful children: Sheila Hobbs and husband John of Stockton, MO, Julie Morrow and husband Mark of Lamar, MO, Shawna Nelson and husband Jeff of Morrisville, MO, and a son Troy Neese of Stockton, MO. Seven grandchildren: Abby, Ashley, Taylor, Todd, Kayla, Levi, and Kaytlin. Also surviving, 6 brothers: Allen Neese and wife Elizabeth of Stockton, MO, Mike Neese and wife Cheryll, Phoenix, AZ, Bill Neese and wife Sue, Maud, TX, Frank Neese and wife Shirley, Sierra Vista, AZ, Patrick Neese and wife Helen, Phoenix, AZ, and Terry Neese, Phoenix, AZ. Two sisters: Barbara Massie and husband Harold, Stockton, MO, Mary Watt and husband Ken, Grants Pass, OR. Mother-in-law: Lucille Little, Fair Play, MO. Brother-in-law: Bill Little Jr., Gardendale, AL. Sister-in-laws: Judy Clark and husband Martin, Stockton, MO., Joni Neese, Missouri Valley, IA. Many nieces, nephews and cousins

Robert is preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Donald Neese, Gerald Neese and Dennis Neese.

A visitation will be held at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Brumback Funeral Home in Stockton, MO. Burial with full military honors will be at 10:00am Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO. Online condolences can be made at www.brumbackfuneralhome.com.
