Albert F. Brown, 90, of Estero, FL died peacefully on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at home. Formerly of Lake Villa, IL he had been a resident of Estero since 1986. He was the son of the late Charles and Matilda (Lemke) Brown, born on April 1, 1923 in Libertyville, IL and the youngest of five children. Al was a WWII Veteran, serving in the United States Army, European Theater. He worked for the ATT/Illinois Bell Telephone Company for 36 years before retiring in 1983. Al was a resident of the Villages at Country Creek where he enjoyed golf, tennis, bridge and socializing with friends. He and Judy loved to travel and had a great time playing water volleyball with his kids and grandkids when they came to visit. Al is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Judith A. (Karsnick) Brown; children, Albert (Lisa) Brown Jr. of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Gregg Karsnick of Honolulu, HI, Jan (Matthew) Sullivan of Winston Salem, NC, Kristie (Dr. Richard) Rozran of Mequon, WI; five grandchildren: Ryan (Amy) Sullivan, Shannon (Nate) Gamble, Colin Sullivan, Brad and Lindsey Rozran and one great grandchild, Shanyia Gamble. His wonderful smile and sense of humor will be missed by family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 4:00 PM at Our Lady of Light Catholic Church, 19680 Cypress View Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33967. Burial will follow in the church memorial garden. In lieu of flowers, donations in Al's name may be made to Hope Hospice or Our Lady of Light Catholic Church. Arrangements are being handled by Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home.
