Byron Fisher (Bud), 94, passed away on May 3, 2013 at the Shell Point Larsen Pavilion in Fort Myers, FL. He was proceeded by his wife Florence, 93, who passed away in January of this year. Bud was born in Evanston, IL on September 9, 1918 to Byron Fisher and Marie Cannon Fisher. Bud grew up in Wilmette, IL along with his brother, Jack. Bud attended New Trier High School and Purdue University, graduating with an engineering degree.
Bud and Florence celebrated 70 years of marriage this past summer. They lived in the Chicago area, Twin Lakes, WI, Sarastoa FL and recently in Ft. Myers, FL. They had two daughers, Bonni Novak and Sue Ann Greiwe (deceased).
Bud was a founder and President of the Transparent Container Company. He set the foundation of the company by his dedication to honesty, integrity and hard work. In his retirement he enjoyed boating, golfing and being with family. He was always proud of his daughters, three grandkids, Scott Greiwe (Krissy), Elmhurst, IL; Rachael Pratt (Kevin), Elmhurst, IL and Craig Greiwe (Lynn), Lombard, IL as well as his son-in-law, Daniel Greiwe (Phyllis), Chicago, IL and his six great grandkids: Lili, Brian, Kate, Logan, Megan and Elizabeth.
A family gathering will celebrate his life this summer in Wisconsin. Memorials can be made in honor of Bud to his daughter's memorial foundation for cancer research:
