Carl Frank Young

Carl F. Young 68, of No. Ft. Myers, FL died August 20, 2013 at Joanne's House at Hope Hospice after a brief illness. Carl had been a resident of No. Ft. Myers since 1979 coming from Elizabeth, NJ. He was born April 30, 1945 in Elizabeth a son of the late Ignatius F. and Amelia (nee Enchur) Young.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was stationed in Korea form 1964 thru 1965.
Prior to moving to No. Ft. Myers, Carl owned the Midlane Salvage Company in Elizabeth, NJ and Young Recycling in Newark, NJ. In 1980, he opened OMT Recycling in Ft. Myers and operated the company until 1999. He was also the owner of Bea's Antiques from 2000 until 2008.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ellen M. Young of No. Ft. Myers, FL; son, Carl F. (Tina) Young, Jr. of DeLand, FL; daughter, Carleen A. Young of Bonita Springs, FL and two grandchildren, Leni Kaitlin Young and Anika Elise Young. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Garry of N. Ft. Myers and his brother, Robert Young of Bridgewater, NJ.
In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. The family suggests that memorial gifts in his memory be made to Joanne's House at Hope Hospice 27200 Imperial Pkwy., Bonita Springs, FL 34135.
Arrangements are being handled by Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home.
