Jack Sewell (aka Pappy) was born in Tampa, FL on March 5th, 1924 to the late Lorraine and Vila Sewell. He graduated from Hillsborough High School, prior to serving in the Marine Corps 1942-1946, and then attended the University of Florida. Jack was employed by Sherwin-Williams for thirty four years, coming to Fort Myers in 1955. Together with his sons, Terry and Blake, they opened The Paint Store Plus in 1977.
Jack was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church, serving as a Deacon and Elder, and Buckingham Presbyterian Church. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved being with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty three years, Julie Sewell, his sons Terry (Joni) Sewell and Blake (Rhonda) Sewell, grandson Matt (Kristy) Sewell and granddaughter Bailey (David) Hewitt, and great-grandsons Nathan, Blake, Finn, and Reid.
There will be a Remembrance Service on Sunday afternoon, April 7, at 4pm in the Sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church, 2438 Second Street, Fort Myers, FL 33901
