James Raymond Matlack was born on October 18, 1925 in Harrisburg, PA to his parents James and Elva (Slough) Matlack and passed away in Cape Coral on October 23, 2012.

Jim is survived by his children Edward Matlack of OH and Timothy Matlack of Cape Coral, FL; grandchildren Timothy Matlack Jr., Shelley (Kenneth) Kinder, Edward James Matlack, Adam Sethman, Brian Sethman; and 6 great grandchildren. Jim is preceded in death by his wife Trema E. Matlack and his daughter Rose Sethman.

Jim was a sergeant technician in the US Army during WWII in the Phillipines and then moved on to serve in South Korea. He was awarded the Purple Heart and finally the well-deserved Bronze Star in 2011. After his journey in the military he continued his career as a Service Manager for Atlas Copco MCT. Jim moved to Cape Coral in 1987 and continued his service until his retirement at the age of 74. Jim enjoyed boating, fishing, and spending time with his friends at the Cape Coral Power Squadron.
