Larry Philip DeLong, 78 went to be with the Lord, February 8, 2014. Born September 5, 1935 in Burlington, Michigan, Larry moved to North Fort Myers, Florida in 1972. Larry joined the Navy at the age of 17, served in the Korean War with an honorable discharge after four years of service. He was a top notch professional welder all his life and a hard-working man. He was a member of the American Legion for 24 years. Married 51 years, he is survived by his wife, Louise Dawn DeLong; his five children, Ricky Presley, Deborah Giampaolo, Kathryn and Fritts Ryan, Larry DeLong Jr. Eric DeLong; grandchildren, Nathan and Keli Adair, Amanda and Michael Aldridge, Jeremiah Adair, Fritts Ryan, Shawn DeLong; and great-grandchild, Micah Aldridge. His final resting place is in Jackson, Michigan. We will miss your presence here on earth, but you are in a far greater place. We love you.
