Malcolm (Mac) E. Phares

Malcolm (Mac) Eugene Phares passed away on August 6, 2014 after a brief illness. He was born to Henry and Gertrude Phares on December 27, 1925 in Central City, Nebraska. He attended the Naval Academy from 1944 to 1949 before serving in the Korean War.

Following the war he worked at Boeing as an aeronautical engineer and then Paccar as director of dealers for Peterbuilt and Kenworth. Later on he owned his own consulting business. For the past 20 years he has been a resident of Fort Myers.

He is survived by his wife Peggy, and sons MacGregor and Bruce (Donna).

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, August 15 at 10:30 A.M. at Covenant Presbyterian Church on McGregor Blvd. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lee Memorial Health System Foundation.
