Mary Ann Linton

Born in Windsor, VT, the first of two daughters of Helen and Elroy Barnard, she grew up in E. Cleveland, OH. She attended Case- Western Reserve University in Cleveland and graduated from Ohio State University in 1953, with a double major, paying her own way by working before and during college. She was admitted to an honors society in her junior year.

A natural leader, she became president of two Parent-Teachers Associations, and several women's societies, organizing multiple fund raisers that benefitted schools and charities.

After her marriage June 14, 1952, she made homes in Columbus, OH; Brooklyn, NY; Ann Arbor, MI; Del Rio, TX; Parma Hgts, OH; Chesterland, OH, and moved finally to Sanibel, FL in 1992.

On Sanibel she became an avid member of Faye Granberry's Garden Club, hosting multiple meetings and luncheons.

Mary Ann is survived by her:

Husband of 62 years; Donald S. Linton, Jr., M.D.

Sons; Donald S. LInton III, D.D.S. of Alamogordo, NM

Jeffrey B. Linton, M.B.A. of Novelty, OH

Mark H. Linton, B.S.EE of State College, PA

Sister: Mrs. Barbara DeFrancesco of Canton, OH

Grandchildren: Alexis Linton of Cleveland Hgts., OH

Diana Linton Wachsberger of Hudson, OH

Justin Linton of Novelty, OH

All have suffered a great loss.
