Nancy Wiltshire Roberts

Nancy Wiltshire Roberts of Fort Myers, Florida passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 with her loving family at her side. She was 76 years old.

She was born on November 18, 1937 in Fort Myers, the daughter of Elizabeth "Libby" (Hartsfield) and Warren "Bud" Wiltshire. Throughout her life Nancy remained a local resident. She attended Fort Myers High School and was a band majorette. Following graduation, Nancy attended the University of Florida before beginning a career at 1st Federal Savings and Loan of Fort Myers where she advanced to become Vice President of the Savings Department. She was blessed with four sons and spent numerous years watching them participate in Baseball and Football from Little League and Pop Warner through High School.

Despite the demands of family and work, Nancy found a way to remain very active in the community. She was a longtime supporter of the Edison Pageant of Light, Southern Dames and a 50-plus year member of the Fort Myers Women's Community Club. She was also a devoted Christian and lifelong member of Saint Luke's Episcopal Church.

Nancy leaves behind four sons Tris Roberts (Mioara) of Golden Gate, Mike Roberts of Lake City, Ric Roberts (Debbie) of Fort Myers and Ron Roberts (Amy) of Charlotte, North Carolina; her six grandchildren John, Emma, Kasey, Molly, Adan and Evan; her two brothers Jim Wiltshire (Susan) of Gainesville and Warren B. Wiltshire Jr. (R.J.) of Fort Myers; her Aunt Shirley Wiltshire and special cousin Nancy Pollock plus numerous nieces and nephews and other family members. She also leaves behind two special friends Kathy Chappelle and Mary Jo Cooksey along with many other people who were proud to call her a friend.

A Memorial Service for Nancy will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Saint Luke's Episcopal Church, 2635 Cleveland Avenue, Fort Myers, Florida 33901, (239) 334-2479. She will thereafter be laid to rest during a private committal ceremony in the Fountain Garden at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
