The Guest Book is expired.
On July 18, 2013 Nelson E Kinerk, aged 74, passed away after a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer.
He was born in 1939 in Fort Wayne, Indiana and lived there most of his life. Upon retirement from both International Harvester in 1982 (when the Fort Wayne plant closed) and Prairie Grove Cemetery in 2005, he and Carol moved to Fort Myers Florida in 2008 after spending a number of years as winter residents. He loved life, and enjoyed making people laugh. During his leisure time, he enjoyed metal detecting, going to the beach, and driving around Fort Myers learning more of the city he loved. He was very much a people person who delighted in meeting people of all ages.
He served in the army from 1962 until 1964. He is a member of the American Legion in North Fort Myers.
He was the youngest child of Edith (Mason) Kinerk and Edward Kinerk who are both deceased. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol (Green) Kinerk, their three children, Brian Kinerk, Teresa Scott and Christine Kelty, five grandchildren and one great Granddaughter. He is also survived by his two siblings, a sister, Bonnie Andrews and a brother, Gerald Kinerk.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 21st at 2:30 p.m located at North Fort Myers Church of the Nazarene, 6781 Bayshore Road, North Fort Myers, 33917.
