RALPH S. FORTUNATO

JANUARY 3, 2014

Ralph S. Fortunato, 90, of Fort Myers, passed away on Friday, January 03, 2014 at his home. He was born in Auburn, New York on May 30, 1923 to Vito and Vincenza Fortunato. Ralph was a member of the Army Air Corps and a Veteran of World War II. He moved to Lee County in 1965 where he was employed in the building supply industry for 30 years. He then enjoyed retirement while working part-time at Gavin's Ace Hardware for an additional 20 years. Ralph was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandparent. Ralph will be deeply missed, but will be remembered by his family and many friends for his generosity, caring nature, and lively conversations. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lena, children Larry Fortunato and Mia Sushil (Michael), and grandchildren Matthew, Mark, and Megan Sushil. A memorial mass will take place Tuesday, January 7th, at 1:00pm, at Saint Cecilia Catholic Church, 5632 Sunrise Dr., Ft. Myers, FL 33919. Info 239-481-4341.
