Mr. Rohaley was a graduate of John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Richard was an accountant for over 60 years, an Enrolled Agent with the I.R.S. and a past president of the Florida Accountants Ass'n. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 44 years, Regina Rohaley and his second wife of 14 years, Marcille Rohaley and one brother, Joseph L. Rohaley. He leaves to cherish his memory, his six children, Richard L. Rohaley, Michele (Michael) Cheatham, Denis (Yvonne) Rohaley and Pat (Stacy) Rohaley all of Ft. Myers and Elaine (Danny) Albury of Tavernier, FL and Tom (Denise) Rohaley of North Ft. Myers; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Joanne Mishler of Ft. Myers and a brother, Albert Rohaley of Akron, Ohio.
Dick loved, as he would say, pushing his pencil. He didn't retire until two weeks before his passing. What he loved most were his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever we got together, which was often. He always put his pencil down to visit with any and all of them. He was such a loving father. He also enjoyed football, including his beloved Notre Dame. A Memorial Mass was celebrated on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 1:00 PM at St. Francis Xavier School Cafeteria in Fort Myers, FL. In lieu of flowers, please make donation to Hope Hospice.
