TRUMAN DUBOIS WILSON

Passed away Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013 in Ft. Myers, FL. He was born Dec. 26, 1921 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario to Robert Giles and Rebecca Dubois Wilson. He graduated Ft. Myers High School in 1941, attended the University of Florida, and joined the Army Air Corps.
Following service with the 8th Air Force in England, he returned to Ft. Myers and married Jessie Wilma Finch of Pueblo, CO. A realtor and executive for Michigan Homes, he established and operated Beachview Golf Club on Sanibel Island. Well known for his love of fishing and golf, he was a longtime member of Ft. Myers Country Club and Cypress Lakes Country Club.
Truman was predeceased by his wife, parents, sister, Rose Wilson Duffield, and brother Edgar Arthur Wilson. He is survived by sons, Truman Edgar "Rocky" Wilson and wife Lynn of Moultrie, GA and Robert William "Robby" Wilson and wife Carol of Ft. Myers; grandsons Richard Dubois Wilson of Kettering, OH and Andrew Arrowood Wilson and wife Sara of Ridgewood, NJ; granddaughter Sammie Sue Wilson of Ft. Myers; great-grandsons Chance Wilson, Aidan Wilson, and Colin Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held 10:30 am Friday, November 8 at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord, 8121 Cypress Lake Drive, Ft. Myers. The family will receive friends at the church following the ceremony.
