ELYSBURG — Alice Margretta Parker, of Elysburg, went to be with our Lord Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born Jan. 5, 1945, in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late Nellie and John New.
On Jan. 1, 1971, she married the Rev. John Parker, who survives.
She was a loving and caring wife and a wonderful mother to her sons, Andrew and Brian and his wife, Kristin.
Alice, who was known by family members as "Mom-Mom," was a fantastic grandmother who loved her grandchildren beyond words.
She was an active member of Christ Community United Methodist Church, Selinsgrove.
During her life ministry, she enjoyed going on mission trips.
Alice was an avid reader and participated in Life Long Learning.
She attended Penn State University, the University of Pennsylvania and Immaculata University, and graduated from Lankenau Hospital School of Practical Nursing in 1968.
As a youth, she was a member of an ice skating club and competed in ice skating events.
She sang in choirs her whole life and most recently sang in the Community Spirit Choir of Elysburg.
Sewing and knitting were her passions, including cross-stitching and quilting.
In addition to her husband, Alice is survived by a brother, Ken; a sister, Ruth, and nieces and nephews.
PARKER — Alice Margretta Parker, of Elysburg. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, in Christ Community United Methodist Church, 3939 Park Road, Selinsgrove.
