COAL TOWNSHIP — Oliver H. Sigafoos Jr., 70, of 2050 Trevorton Road, passed away at 11:28 p.m. Sunday, May 11, 2014, at Mountain View: A Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Oliver was born in Shamokin, Sept. 25, 1943, a son of Delores Schickley, of Coal Township, and the late Oliver H. Sigafoos Sr.
He was of the Methodist faith.
Oliver enjoyed walking and watching television, especially old black and white TV shows. He was an extremely friendly person, very personable and loved by all whose lives he touched. He loved going home to spend time with his family.
Oliver is survived by two sister, JoAnn O'Connor and her husband, Martin, of Mechanicsburg, and Susan Seiders and her husband, Douglas, of Halifax; two brothers, Allen Schickley and his wife, Criss, of Millersburg, and James Schickley and his wife, Cindy, of Lake Ariel, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Kenneth L. Schickley Sr., and a brother, Kenneth L. Schickley Jr.
SIGAFOOS — Oliver H. Sigafoos Jr., 70, of 2050 Trevorton Road, Coal Township. A religious funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at James Kelley Funeral Home, 1001 W. Arch St. at Maple Street, Coal Township, with the Rev. David Butler officiating. Family and friends are invited to call at the visitation from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Trevorton Road. As an expression of sympathy, the family requests memorial contributions can be made to The United Way, Lower Anthracite Region (unitedway.org), 2 E.
