Ervin "Buster" Lawrence Brown, Jr.


Ervin Lawrence Brown, Jr., 68, known to his friends and family as "Buster" passed away Wednesday at home surrounded by his loving family. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict where he received a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Buster was a self-employed mechanic and dump truck driver owner/operator.

Surviving are his daughters, Joyce Alene Brown and Audra Leigh Brown both of Raleigh; mother, Barbara Horton Brown of Raleigh; sister, Sandra Brown Scott of Broadway; former wife, Joan Ennis Brown of Raleigh.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ervin Lawrence Brown and sister, Barbara Brown Edsall.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel.
