Macon "Bill" Barham

YOUNGSVILLE

Macon "Bill" Barham, 88, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Duke Raleigh Hospital. Mr. Barham was born in Wake County to the late Robert Ivan Barham and Repsie Frazier Barham. He was a retired Seaman 1st Class with the United States Navy having served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. After serving his country for 22 years he went to work for Adams Products and retired after 30 years. He was a charter member of the Amran Shriners Temple in Raleigh and was a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church for over 30 years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, March 22, 2014 at Union Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Barham is survived by his wife of 61 years, Phyllis Kelley Barham; sons, Jeff Barham & wife Janet of Virginia Beach, VA and Kelley Barham & wife Stacey of Shaw AFB, SC; sister, Juanita Woodall & husband Milton of Bracey, VA; brothers, Lee Barham & wife Geneva of Canton, NC and Leamon Barham & wife Jean of Youngsville; grandchildren, Macon & wife Sarah Barham, Morgan Barham and Mackenzie Barham.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Nolan, and Frances Morton; brothers, Charlie Justice, James Barham, Wesley Barham, William Barham, George Barham and Elmo Barham.

Flowers are accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Union Chapel Baptist Church, 2437 Zebulon Road, Zebulon, NC 27597.
