Edward P. Brandon, 98, of Brookfield, CT died peacefully on Saturday, April 26, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. "Ed" was born on October 20, 1915 in Yonkers, NY. He was a veteran of WWII serving as a Corporal in the US Army. Ed was an exceptional upholsterer, an avid golfer and devout Yankees fan! He was predeceased by his cherished wife of 58 years, Ruth E. Brandon on July 8, 2003. Mr. Brandon is survived by his 6 children & their spouses: Ruthanne & James Manna, Danbury, CT, Rosemary & Richard Passero, Newtown, CT, Patricia Brandon & Thomas Brandon, Hopewell Junction, NY, James & Margaret Brandon, Poughkeepsie, NY, and Beth & Tom Becker of Poughquag, NY. He will be missed dearly by his children, 13 grandchildren, & 12 great-grandchildren. A jack of all trades, Ed took great joy in the numerous projects he accomplished for his beloved Ruthie! He could never say enough about how blessed he was to have had such a loving wife and the beautiful family he shared with her. Ed was incredibly proud of his children & grandchildren and loved his sons/daughter's in-laws as if they were his own. He shared so much of his life and knowledge as he had an extraordinary memory and was sharp as a tack all his life. His great sense of humor and quick-wittedness will live on in the hearts of his friends and family! A special Thank you to Brooks Quarry Community for 14 + years of good neighbors & friendship! A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at St. Gregory's Church; at 11a.m. Danbury CT. Contributions in honor of his memory may be made to
