Lawrence R. Tannheimer, born July 31, 1947, in Chicago Illinois to Lawrence and Mary (Pearson) Tannheimer passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2013, after a long and very difficult battle with leukemia.
Larry attended Catholic Schools graduating from St. Mel High School in 1965. He received a BS in Economics from the University of Illinois in 1969 and a Master's Degree from Roosevelt University. Larry had a successful career in sales in the computer industry; he worked hard to meet & exceed the challenges in his field. His most recent success was 13 years in sales at NetApp.
Larry completed United States Army Basic Combat Training at Ft. Campbell, KY, in January of 1971, and the Engineer Equipment Maintenance Course at Fort Belvoir, VA, in April of 1971.
Larry raised three children with his then-current wife, Deb - Lawrence, an insurance adjuster, resides in Louisville, KY, with his wife, Amy; Michael, a master level electrician, resides in Stormville, NY with his wife, Vanessa, and their two-year old son, Logan; and Peter, an engineer, from Bellevue, WA.
Larry married Helen Ochs on July 7, 2006. Helen's son, Owen Ochs, Staff Sergeant, United States Army, resides in Pennsylvania.
Larry has two sisters, Mildred & MaryJane, who reside in IL. Larry will also be remembered by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter Church on Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Monday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
