Teresa M. Moots, 49, of New Milford, CT, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at home. She was the wife of Roland F. Moots, JR. Mrs. Moots was born in Danbury, CT, September 7, 1963, daughter of Richard and Teresa Seeholzer Faure of New Smyrna Beach, FL. A graduate of Shepaug Valley Regional High School, Washington, CT, she attended Arizona State University and received her bachelor degree from Western CT State University and her law degree from Western New England School of Law. She was a self-employed attorney. Mrs. Moots was a member of the CT and Litchfield County Bar Associations, and the Governors Horse Guard, State of CT. She loved to ride her horse, Briarwolf, and loved country music. She loved being with her children and grandchildren, and enjoyed family vacations in Florida. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her children, Heather Bushey of Torrington, CT, Richard O'Shaugnessy of New Milford, and Alexander Moots of New Milford; step-children, Derek Moots of Danbury, CT, Lisa Bowe of New Milford, Christina Moots of Washington, CT, Stephanie Moots of New Milford, and Carter Moots of New Milford; her sister, Suzanne Koerner of Roxbury, CT; seven grandchildren; and two nephews, Josh Koerner of Carmichael, CA and Zach Koerner of Montpelier, VT. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard A. Faure, JR. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 11 AM at St. Francis Xavier Church, New Milford, CT. No calling hours.
