EASTON, Md. - Gary Dean Stock, Sr. was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at UMSMC, Easton Memorial Hospital. He was born to the late Roland Dean and Doris Stock. Mr. Stock served his country proudly for four years in the United States Air Force. He was a communications specialist in the Vietnam War. Mr. Stock retired from car sales after over 20 years of employment. He currently worked at Wal-Mart. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf and watching baseball, football and college basketball. Mr. Stock was an animal lover. He also enjoyed watching classic films, especially John Wayne movies. He particularly loved cooking for his family. His life was defined by his dedication to his family, and he loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He was known for his character, work ethic, intelligence and wit. He will be greatly missed by his family and close friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Susan Stock of Easton; son, Gary D. Stock, Jr., of Mexico, N.Y.; daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa L. (James) Hahn, of Rhodesdale, Md., Stephanie M. (James) Studzinski of Viola, and Lisa (Jeremy) Spencer of Mexico, N.Y.; and six grandchildren. Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
