DOVER - Jade Bo Ram Mebane died Thursday, March 22, 2012. She was 16. Jade was a student at Polytech High School in the nursing program. She was born in Seoul, South Korea. During her short life, Jade faced many challenges and medical procedures. A special thanks to Dr. Ryan from Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Pa., Dr. Figuera, Dr. Baffa and the staff at A.I. DuPont Hospital, Dr. Rosal and Dr. Liquido from Smyrna Medical Center and the entire staff of Phoenix Behavioral Health for their kindness. Jade focused her life ambitions toward the medical field wishing to someday become a doctor so she could help other children born with special needs. A very artistic young lady, she loved art and music, and playing the flute. She was a volunteer with Special Olympics. She was brilliant, compassionate, loved animals and her best buddy, Casper, her cat. She is survived by her parents, Candy and Robert Mebane; sister, Jordan; brothers, Bob, John, Asa, Levi, Noah, Jude, and Elijah; two aunts, two uncles, three nephews and two nieces. A memorial service to celebrate Jade BoRam's life will be 4 p.m. Saturday, March 31 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts in Jade's name be made to Phoenix Behavioral Health, P.O. Box 1081, Dover, DE 19903, to be used to aid children or families in need.
