WILLOW GROVE - John (Jack) Thomas Carey was peacefully called home to our Lord on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Jack was born on May 7, 1926 in Willow Grove to the late Anna Mae Dodd Kemp and David Carey. Jack served in the Army during World War II and later was a Foreman for Tilcon Construction. He was a lifetime member of Willow Grove Church of God, where he faithfully served as a Chairman of the Board of Directors. When Jack wasn't at the church, you could find him tinkering around his beloved farm. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; brother, Dawson Schulties; and three children, Roy Lee, Jacqueline, and Daniel. Jack is survived by his sister, Evelyn Voshell; daughter, Susan Coffman; eight step-children; 17 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. A funeral service for Jack will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming, Wyoming, DE. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at Sharon Hill Cemetery following the service. The family requests in lieu of flowers, to offer contributions to Willow Grove Church of God, 90 Honeysuckle Rd., Camden-Wyoming, DE 19934. Letters of condolences can be sent via
