DOVER - Kathleen T. Moran at age 82 passed away at Bay Health Medical center on April 13th 2014 surrounded by her loving family members. Kathleen Moran, was an original Delawarean, born in Georgetown, Del., daughter of Preston Lee & Ethel Wilson Tyndall. A graduate of Milford High School, she trained at Milford Memorial Hospital and was board certified by the American Registered Radiological Technologists. Ms. Moran was employed by Dr. Leslie Dobson, Milford Memorial Hospital, before being transferred to then Kent General Hospital. She worked at Bayhealth Medical Center as Chief X-ray Technologist and Outreach Manager for 33 years retiring in Sept. 1991. Kathleen worked with others to establish the Eastern Shore Society of Radiological Technologists and served as a member on the original Board of Directors for 3 years. She was a member of The from 1986-1991. She served on the Division Board of Directors for 2 terms and The Kent County Board of Director from 1988-1994 and was Awarded an Honorary Lifetime Membership. She co-chaired and was the Volunteer Coordinator for Kent/Sussex Counties. She piloted along with Sandra Klima, the Project for The Tell A Friend, a Breast Cancer Awareness Program from 1993-1996. Served on the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition Board of Trustees. Volunteered at the Ronald McDonald Room at Bayhealth Medical Center, and was a Member of the Camden/Wyoming Round Table Club (10/94-4/14) Ms. Moran was a member of the Kent County Republican Women from 10/1991 till 2014, (Chairman of the Telephone and Funding committees for several years) she Co-Chaired with Ms. June Myers their 50 Kent County Anniversary dinner and was Republican of the month Nov. 2001. During her work with the Kent County Republican Party she was the recipient of several awards. A member of Peoples Church, and a lifetime member of Victory Chapter 15 Eastern Star, Dover Del. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Carlton C. (Dick) Moran; and her son, William "Bill" Keith Moran. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Linda Lee M. and Mel W. Weller of Dover, Del.; and a son and daughter-in-law, Lee Crantz and Julie A. Moran of Smyrna, Del.; and a wonderful loving granddaughter, Jennifer Leigh Beasley. A new great-grandson, Dominic S. Beasley; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Moran, and her significant other, Michael Behm; one brother, Donald Lee Tyndall; a sister-in-law, Grace M. Outten; a kindred spirit adopted sister, Sandra Klima; and many loving nieces and nephews. Services will be held, 12 noon, Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover DE. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 noon. Interment at Lake Side M. E.
