DOVER - Warren D. Glenn passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 73. Warren was born on November 8, 1940 in Houston, Texas, son of the late Carl and Lucile (Mather) Glenn. He graduated from Greenville High School in Greenville, South Carolina and went on to graduate from Southern Illinois University. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years. He worked for CamDel Metal for 22 years retiring in 2003. Warren was a member of Whatcoat United Methodist Church, member of the Chesapeake Emmaus Community and past member of the Camden-Wyoming Lions Club. He enjoyed camping, spending time with family and traveling. He is survived by his wife of 50 ½ years, Christine Glenn; two children, Eric Glenn of Dover and Sarah Sammons and her husband Arden of Clayton; grandchildren, Brittany, Arden III and Jonathan Sammons and Darien Glenn; nephews, James Evens of Dallas, Texas, Glenn Cox of Pace, Fla., Shyrellanne VanArsdale of Austin, Texas, Debra McMurtry of Dallas, Texas and Twana Dee Leadbetter of Warner Robins, Ga. Committal of cremains with full honors will be 11 a.m. today, August 22, 2014 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 100 Patriots Way, Millsboro. A celebration of life will be 11 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the Whatcoat United Methodist Church, 16 Main St., Camden. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Simpson Center c/o Whatcoat United Methodist Church, 16 N. Main St., Camden, DE 19934 or Camp Pecometh, 136 Bookers Wharf Rd., Centreville, MD 21617. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com
