OKEECHOBEE - Earl Ray Troxell, Sr. of Okeechobee died Nov. 11, 2013. He was born Jan. 15, 1932 in Grinnell, Iowa. He was a resident of Okeechobee since 1984. He was a Southern Baptist, member of Okeechobee Lodge 237, Life Member of the V.F.W., Scottish Rite, York Rite, Moose, Eagle and Shrine Club. He drove the children's van for the Shrine Club over 30,000 miles. He also enjoyed riding his Harley. Mr. Troxell is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mildred Troxell; two sons, Earl Troxell, Jr. (Samantha) all of Okeechobee and Gary Troxell (Jennifer) of Alexandria, IN; five grandchildren, Chris, Cary, Stacey, Brian and Jason; six great grandchildren; and one sister, Shirley Troxell of Naples. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at Good Spirits.
