OKEECHOBEE - James "Jim" A. Sanders of Okeechobee died August 16, 2014 in Palm Beach. He was born November 10, 1943 in Columbus, Georgia. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. A retired heavy equipment mechanic, he came to Okeechobee from Las Vegas in 2000. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, and bowling. Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his father, James Douglas Sanders. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Cara Sanders of Okeechobee; two daughters, Kristine Farnsworth (Roby) of Salt Lake City, Utah and Heather Jaynes (Clinton) of Wichita, Kansas; three sons, Keith Sanders of Las Vegas, James Martini, Jr. (Lisa) of Lincolnton, N.C. and Johnny Crow (Kelly) Las Vegas; ten grandchildren; mother, Vivian Rosser of Palm Bay; sister, Linda Trenner (Bob) of Palm Bay. No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in honor of James A. Sanders may be made to Fisher House (122), 1201 NW 16th Street, Miami, FL 33125.
