OKEECHOBEE - Wilton "Bill" Frank Stegkemper died March 7, 2014. He was born June 15, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a two term member of Board of Directors of N.R.A. in Washington; former police officer in Ft. Pierce, Vero Beach and Cocoa Beach; long time realtor in the Tri-County area, member of Liberty Baptist Church in Ft. Pierce and an avid sportsman and gun rights advocate. Mr. Stegkemper is survived by his wife, Susan J. Stegkemper; daughter, Tara Forbes (Rene) all of Port St. Lucie; sons, Bill K. Stegkemper of Vero Beach and John W. Stegkemper (Theresa) of South Carolina; three grandsons, John Michael Stegkemper of South Carolina, Renee William Forbes and Ethan Forbes both of Port St. Lucie; granddaughter, Evin Forbes of Tampa; dear friends, Ann and Dennis Harding; and many loving friends in the Tri-County area. Mr. Stegkemper's wishes were to have his remains scattered at his favorite trap and skeet range. No services will be held at this time.
