MARTONE - Andrew A. of Sea Cliff, NY. Beloved husband of Joan. Loving father of AndrewJr, Maryann, Larry (Fran), and Gunnar. Cherished grandfather of Emily and David. Dear brother of Louise Martone-Peluso and Lorenzo (Larry). Also survived by many Nieces and Nephews. Mr. Martone graduated from Kings Point Merchant Marine Academy in 1952, and served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a lifetime resident of Long Island, an avid golfer and businessman, retiring as Vice President (retired) of L. Martone and Sons, Inc., a family-owned Long Island roofing and sheet metal company, established by his father in 1918. Among his many community activities, he was a long-time member of the Glen Cove Neighborhood Association and dedicated supporter of the YMCA, he served on the Board of Directors for both the YMCA of Long Island and the Glen Cove branch. For his service, he was honored as Man of the Year in 1977 and wth an honorary lifetime membership to the YMCA of Long Island Board of Directors in 1995.
