DAY - Lawrence A. (Larry), passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on April 4, 2012. He is predeceased by his wife of 57 years Elizabeth Carlo Day in 2010 and his parents Loran A. Day, Sr. and Selma (Jaeger) Day. He is survived by his three children, Dana Day of Houston, TX, and John Day and Kimberly Day, both of Mineola, NY. Larry served in the Seabees during WWII and attended Northwestern University where he (aka 'Fats') and his twin brother 'Pee Wee' played on the 1948 Wildcat team that won the 1949 Rose Bowl. He joined Pepsi-Cola in Chicago before being transferred in 1960 to NY. Larry was a 52-year resident of Manhasset and a member of the Congregational Church there. Larry was a kind, humble, smart, generous man with a great sense of humor. In keeping with Larry's wishes, no service will be held. Private interment of Larry and his wife, Elizabeth will be at the Christ Church Cemetery in Manhasset.
