Nancy GOLDMAN

GOLDMAN - Nancy passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 atAmsterdam Hospice with her beloved husband of 32 years and best friend, Alan Goldman, by her side. Nancy bravely fought a 13 year battle with breast cancer with the best of spirits and optimism. She refused to let cancer define her or stop her from living her life, and she enjoyed each and every day to the fullest. Nancy was the rock on which her family and friends could rely for encouragement, counseling, cheer and inspiration. She is survived, by her husband and the love of her life, Alan, and her three amazing children, Sarah, Jacqueline and Michael. They have grown into kind-hearted, accomplished adults because they learned about life from Nancy. She is also survived by her parents, Albert and Patricia Buchholz, of Flushing, NY and her sister, Diane Conwell of Palm Harbor, FL. Nancy was a community leader, tirelessly volunteering her time, talent and energy to the Roslyn Publi Schools. Throughout the years that her children were in school, Nancy was devoted to their education. She served in many different capacities, including PTA co-president and treasurer, Marching Bulldogs co-president and treasurer, and member of the District Budget Advisory Committee. Nancy was a true warrior and a hero to her family and friends. Her smile lit up every room she entered and her glass was always half full with enough to share. Everyone who knew her will miss her, and her loving spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
