Mark A. Lee, age 49, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, in San Diego, Calif., due to a massive stroke and complications. Mark was born on August 11, 1963, in Council Bluffs, to George W. and Kathleen (Pace) Lee. Mark graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1981. While in school, Mark was on the A.L. swim team and was a lifeguard at Katelman pool and Kirn Jr. High pool. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science in Education. He managed the Draper's and Damon's Clothing Store in Laguna Hills, Calif. Mark had a great love for his family, friends and his two cats, Armond and Gabriel. He had a zest for life. Mark was loved and will be missed by all.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, George and Bonnabelle Lee and Paul and Evelyn Pace.
Mark is survived by his parents, George W. and Kathleen Lee; brothers, Michael Lee, Matthew and Carol Lee; sisters, Lisa and Mark Overlie, Lynnette and David Bayer, Mary and Mark Frederickson; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Funeral Service on Friday, at 11 a.m., at the Cutler- O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Visitation with family one hour prior to the service. Burial Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Family will direct memorials.
