DAESCHLER
Albert Frank, 83, of Paramus, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2013 at home. Before retiring, Albert worked as an Investigator for PSE&G in Plainfield, NJ. He was a parishioner of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Paramus where he served as an Elder. Albert was an Army veteran in the 2nd Division 23rd Infantry Regiment who served our country proudly during the Korean War; he was a Purple Heart Recipient and he received two Bronze Stars. He was a member of the VFW Post 6699 in Paramus and American Legion Post 142 in Maywood. Albert was also a 50 year member of the Paramus Junior Baseball League, the Paramus Recreation Basketball League for over 40 years, the Paramus Republican Club and an Eagle Scout.
Dear husband of Karen (Gunston-O'Connor). Loving father of Cheryl Laganella and her husband John of Oradell, Debra Daeschler-Delgiorno of Paramus, Alan Daeschler of Wantage and stepson Christopher O'Connor of Maywood. Adored grandfather of Joseph, Melissa, Jessica, Richard, Krystal and Nicholas. Beloved brother of Joan Breithaupt of Wayne.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 S Farview Ave., Paramus. Funeral Service Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 10 AM at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the 23rd Infantry Regiment, Korean War Branch and sent to Jim Coulos at 10 Lincoln Avenue, Geneva, IL 60134.
