Fair Lawn — Albert "Albee" Palmieri, 64, died March 19.

Born in Englewood and raised in Fairview, he resided in Fair Lawn for 35 years. An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a member and present Commander of American Legion Post 171 of Fair Lawn, member of Catholic War Veterans Post 1076 of Fair Lawn, member of the Disabled American Veterans, Vietnam Veterans and a supporter of the Adopt A US Soldier Program. He was a parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church in Fair Lawn. He enjoyed cooking, golfing and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. Prior to retiring in 2002, he was a data manager with AT&T in New York City for 33 years.

He was the husband of Grace Palmieri; father of Marc Palmieri and his wife, Christina, Krista Lope and her husband, Tony, and Jodiann Palmieri and her partner, Tara Lingenfelter; grandfather of Matthew and Mark; son of Mary Palmieri and the late Dominick Palmieri; and brother of Peter Palmieri, Mary Ann Wrocklage and Elizabeth Gysbers.

Funeral was March 23 at St. Anne R.C. Church with interment at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Arrangements by Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, Fair Lawn.
