Alfred R. (Fred), 67, a lifelong resident of Pompton Lakes, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2014. He leaves behind a brother Bob and his wife Jo Anne, a nephew Bob, Jr. and his sons, Bobby, III and Nathaniel, and a niece, Kathy MacKay and her husband Rob and their children Robert, Jr. and Vicki. He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Ruth Shaw. He was a retired refrigeration and heating technician. He was a Vietnam Veteran and an active member of VFW Post 2906 in Pompton Lakes. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and belonged to the Vernon Rod & Gun Club and the Moxie Falls Club in Maine.
