WEST MILFORD — Services were held for Allan Arnowitz, 87, of Tucson, Ariz., who died on Friday, July 26, 2013. He was the father of Mark of this township.

Born in Paterson, Mr. Arnowitz lived in New Jersey before moving to Tucson in 1981. He was an estimator for paving and construction companies in New Jersey and New York for most of his career. He also was the proprietor of Sites and Structures Inc., Allan Arnowitz Inc., and Bid-It! Inc. He was involved in the copper mining industry and was the streets inspector for Marana, Ariz. He was a member of the Rutgers University Alumni Association and the Association for Total Cost Management. And, he was a veteran of World War II.

Donations may be sent to the National Veterans Foundation.

Mr. Arnowitz also is survived by his other son, Randy of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, the former Lois Sperber; and his companion, Alexandra Channing.
