HEERSE
Anthony E., 93 years old passed away peacefully at home on January 5 , 2014 surrounded by his loving family.
Anthony was a long time resident of Wyckoff, and retired from Nabisco in 1986. He enjoyed traveling following his retirement.
Predeceased by his wife Mildred, brothers Gerard Heerse and John Heerse, sisters Julia Richardson and Janette Van Eeuwen. He is survived by his children Glenn Heerse of Colorado, Linda Cronk of Wayne, and Karen Sherwood of Kentucky, and grandchildren Anthony Cronk, Aaron Cronk and Jennifer Heerse.
Anthony was a WWII veteran serving in the Coast Guard on the USS Joseph T. Dickman. He participated in 6 invasions: North Africa, Sicily, Italy, D-Day Utah Beach, Southern France and Okinawa. The final mission of the ship was to pick up POW's in Southeast Asia.
