WOODLAND PARK - Barbara Ann (nee Joyce) Ballantyne, 80, of Hamburg, formerly of Woodland Park, died Feb. 10, 2014.

Born in Paterson, Ballantyne was a resident of Paterson and Woodland Park until her retirement when she moved to Hardyston. She was a data processor at United Parcel Service in Mahwah for many years before her retirement. She then went to work as a therapeutic aqua-aerobics instructor at Spa Lady in Fairfield and then at the Caldwell Community Center in Caldwel.

Ballantyne was a parishioner of Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha R.C. Church in Sparta. She was a member of the Sussex County Woman's Club, The Red Hat Society Red Crystals of McAfee, and the Outdoor Singles of Morris County.

She was predeceased by brothers Jack, Richard and Robert Joyce.

Survivors include her children Barbara Ballantyne Froehlich and her husband Stephen of Sparta, James M. Ballantyne and his wife Elizabeth of Sparta, John J. Ballantyne and his wife Alison of Allamuchy, Mary Ellen Ballantyne of Woodland Park and Thomas R. Ballantyne of Newton; her sister Mary McGarry and her husband Jack of San Jose, Calif.; and grandchildren, Justin Ballantyne, Eileen Froehlich, Christopher Froehlich, Julianne Froehlich and Ian Ballantyne.
