KIEVIT
Bertus "Bert", 84, of Clifton, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014. Born in Clifton, he was a lifelong Clifton resident. Bert is a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was employed as a pharmaceutical clerk for over 60 years most recently at Colonial Pharmacy in Clifton and formerly at Mc Henry's Drug Store in Clifton. Bert was a member of the Allwood Community Church in Clifton. He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Leona "Lee" (Baker), by a son Donald Kievit of Sussex, by two daughters, Sandra Hohneker and husband, Stephen of Valatie, NY and Debbie Motta and husband, Christopher of Pompton Plains, by nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Bert is predeceased by two brothers, Sakom Peter and Abraham Kievit and by an infant grandson, Eric Kievit. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Monday at Allwood Funeral Home, 660 Allwood Road, Clifton followed by burial at Laurel Grove Memorial Park. Visiting hours are Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
