WEST MILFORD — Services will be held for Beryl Walter, 88, of this township, who died on Thursday, October 11, 2012.
Born in Manitoba, Canada, Mrs. Walter lived in Fort Lee and California before moving to West Milford 43 years ago. She was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II. Also, she was a member and former vice president of the West Milford Golden Agers. And, she was a volunteer art teacher at Marshall Hill School, West Milford.
Arrangements are by the Richards Funeral Home, West Milford. Burial will be at Cedar Heights Cemetery, West Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. David's Episcopal Church, 91 Kinnelon Road, Kinnelon, NJ 07405-2335.
Mrs. Walter is survived by her son, Richard of Parsippany; her daughters, Catherine Wilson of Los Molinas, Calif., Sandra Nugent of Napa, Calif., Sharon Rounds of Mahwah, and Debra Williamsen of Warwick, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard; and her parents, Norman and Annie Jacobs.
