Carl "Whitey," 95, of Ewing, NJ, passed away Monday March 24th at The Clare Estate in Bordentown.
Born in Mahwah, NJ, he lived much of his life in Hawthorne and Franklin Lakes. He was a retired union carpenter and member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners, Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters, Local #253, for the past 67 years.
Whitey was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. He was a Technician 5th Class with the 382nd Medical Collecting Company, 53rd Battalion. He was active in the Battle of the Bulge and landed on Omaha Beach during the D-Day invasions.
Son of the late Isabel Duval-Marshall and step father Samuel Marshall; brother of the late Arthur Marshall and Adelaide Aldous; he is survived by his daughter, Betty and Dr. David Jenkins of Ewing, NJ; two grandchildren, David A. Muller, Christine A. Muller and her fiancé Andy Staniec; great-grandchildren, Thomas A. and Maryellen E. Muller; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday March 31st 10 AM at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington with the Rev. William McQuoid officiating. Burial will follow in Fair Lawn Memorial Park, Fair Lawn, NJ. Friends may call Sunday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
