KAUNE
Charles E., 91, of Bernardsville formerly of Passaic, Clifton, , Hasbrouck Heights and Lodi passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2014. Born in Passaic to the late Charles A. and Margaret (nee Regan) Kaune. He attended Johns Hopkins University and the University of Miami. Charles was an Army veteran of WWII and was part of the Railsplitters in the 84th Infantry Division. He served in the European Theatre and was a recipient of the Bronze Star. Before retiring, Charles was an accountant for the New Jersey State Division of Taxation in Trenton. Beloved husband of fifty years to the late Olga (nee Vodila) Kaune. Devoted father of Maureen Kaune, MD and her husband Thomas Zimmerman Jr., MD of Bernardsville. Dear brother of the late Lester J. Kaune. Loving grandfather of Mycroft Andrew Charles Zimmerman. Funeral from Costa Memorial Home, Boulevard and Central Ave., Hasbrouck Heights on Thursday, August 7th at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy from Corpus Christi R.C. Church Hasbrouck Heights at 10 AM. Interment following at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visitation Wednesday, August 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
