PEQUANNOCK — Services were held for Charles R. Kalfian, 87, of the Pompton Plains section of this community, who died on Wednesday, June 19, 2013.

Born in Weehawken, Mr. Kalfian lived in Hillsdale and Maryland before moving to Pompton Plains in 2008. He was a chemist and vice president for Randolph Products, where he worked for 37 years. Also, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Services were Saturday at the Goble Funeral Home, Sparta. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice of New Jersey, 400 Broadacres Drive, Bloomfield, NJ 07003.

Mr. Kalfian is survived by his wife, the former Marilyn Bedell; his children, Karen Kalfian of Marblehead, Mass., Richard Kalfian of Leesburg, Va., and Donna Scott of Sparta; and two grandchildren.
