RINGWOOD — Services were held for Daniel J. Beecher, 66, of this community, who died on Sunday, April 6, 2014.

Born in Princeton, Mr. Beecher lived in Norristown, Pa., before moving to Ringwood 36 years ago. He was a heating, ventilation, and air- conditioning mechanic at Hudson County Tech School, North Bergen. Also, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, receiving the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.

Services were Thursday at the Richards Funeral Home, Riverdale, followed by interment at Mount Rest Cemetery, Butler.

Mr. Beecher is survived by his wife, the former Linda McClenahan; his daughters, Britine Wilken of Ringwood, and Melissa Own of Rockaway Township; his mother, Mary of Princeton; his sister, Kathryn Ranallo of Princeton Junction; and four grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his father, Ira Wendell.
