Daniel Alfred, of Park Ridge, NJ and Highland Beach, FL died May 30, 2014 in the Cornell Institute for Rehabilitative Medicine at the Bethesda East Hospital in Boynton Beach FL, after an extensive stay at the Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
Born November 16, 1944 as the only child of Evelyn Kahl and William J. Boyle in New York City's Harper Pavilion Hospital, he was raised in Ridgefield, NJ.
Dan attended Ridgefield Public Schools, the University of Michigan and the City College of New York majoring in Hotel Administration.
He spent his entire career of 46 years working for the Hilton Hotels Corporation as The Director of Commercial Leasing. Through his knowledge of Contract Law and negotiations he brought business to the Corporation with the contracts of restaurants and shops in all the properties under his domain. His retirement in 2008 gave him time to visit his Florida home and enjoy the boats on the Intracoastal Waterway.
Dan was a loving husband, father and grandfather with pride in all the families' accomplishments. He especially enjoyed spending time keeping track of his nine grandchildren and their activities. He was supportive of his wife's career with the Mary Kay Corporation. The extended family enjoyed being with Dan at the NFL Giants pre game tailgate parties and then watching the game.
Surviving are his wife Kathryn Pescatore Boyle, son Daniel Page Boyle and wife Margaret with grandchildren Grace, Liam and Ella Boyle; son John and wife Suzanne with grandchildren John and Troy Greco ; daughter Jill and husband Carl with grandchildren Amanda, Ryan and Emily Sailer and son Thomas and wife Pia with grandson Rocco Greco.
In addition he leaves a long list of cousins from the Kivlihen Family line including first cousins Evelyn Nostrand, Richard Klaxton, Lauren Whitehouse and their families along with wife Kathryn's family of Alfred (deceased) his wife Marjorie, John and Elaine, Joe and Joanne and Rocco and Barbara (deceased) Pescatore and their families and Fran and Louis Contaldi and their family. Also surviving are his childhood friend, James Maher and Silvi Rubel his longtime friend and Administrative Assistant at The Hilton Corporation.
Calling hours at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinder-kamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675, phone 201-664-0292, will be Wednesday June 4th from 7-9 PM, Thursday June 5th from 2-4 PM and from 7-9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be Friday June 6th, 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Pascack Road, Park Ridge, NJ followed by burial at the Ridgefield Cemetery in Ridgefield, NJ. www.becker-funeralhome.com
