Emil, died peacefully on September 8, 2013 at the age of 89.
Emil is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Anna Mae Sydoruk, and his children Ronald Sydoruk and his wife Dolores of Upper Saddle River, Linda Akerley and her husband Clifford of Tolland, CT. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Paige Sydoruk, Brett and Devin Akerley, and a sister, Olga Woods of Daytona Beach, Florida.
Emil lived in Wyckoff for 38 years. After graduating Penn State University, he was an Aeronautical Engineer with Curtiss Wright in Fairfield, NJ. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served proudly in WWII. He was an avid sportsman and fly fisherman. He was an active member of the Activities Unlimited Club of Wyckoff.
A funeral mass celebrating Emil's life will be held 10 AM, Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 787 Franklin Lakes Road, Franklin Lakes. Interment will follow at the Christ the King Cemetery. Arrangements by the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
