PEQUANNOCK — Services were held for Eugene Hiller, 87, of the Pompton Plains section of this community, who died on Saturday, November 23, 2013.

Raised in the Bronx, N.Y., Mr. Hiller lived in Wantagh for 47 years before moving to Pompton Plains five years ago. He worked for AT&T for 37 years and then for CBS in Manhattan, N.Y., for 15 years. Also, he was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a bingo and TV studio volunteer at Cedar Crest, Pompton Plains, as well.

Services were Tuesday at the Cedar Crest Village Chapel, Pompton Plains, followed by burial at Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury. Arrangements were by the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains.

Mr. Hiller is survived by his wife, Doris; his son, Gerry Hiller; his daughters, Patty Hatalla, Kathi Rose, and Jeannie Koproski; his brother, Walter; eight grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

He was predeceased by his parents, Anna and Christian.
