RIDGEWOOD - Fred Robert Gebhard, 91, died on April 4.

Born in New York, he was a graduate of New York University (BA and MBA), served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and retired as an executive from Citibank NA after 30 years. A resident of Ridgewood for more than 55 years, he enjoyed his retirement traveling with his wife and participating actively with the Ridgewood Hobbyists.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Gloria; his children Cathy (John Willett) of Garrett Park, Md., Laura Stoneman (Douglas) of Milliken, Colo., Robert (Theresa) of Wyckoff, and Russell (Inaree) of Mt. Arlington, N.J. and his four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on May 2 at 11 a.m. at CC Van Emburgh Funeral Home, 306 E. Ridgewood Ave. in Ridgewood.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross or to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, PO Box 27106, New York, NY 10087.
