STUBBS
George F., age 95, a resident of Renaissance Gardens in Tinton Falls, passed away at Jersey Shore Medical Center after a short illness. He was born in NYC, graduated from Harvard University, and earned his MBA from New York University. He served in the Army during WWII. George was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Marian Lindsay. They lived in Haworth, NJ, for 47 years, where they were active in the community and founding members of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. George's 35-year professional career was spent at the NYC offices of McGraw-Hill, where he held positions in editorial and financial management before retiring in 1981.
George is survived by his beloved brother Hal (Lu) Stubbs of Northampton, MA, three children: Barbara (Art) Jenks of Savannah, GA, Patricia (Tom) Sexton of Westerville, OH, and David (Carolyn) Stubbs of Fairfield, CT. He was a proud grandfather to five grandsons, three great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter. A Memorial Service will be held Monday July 2nd at 2 PM in the Garden Room of Renaissance Gardens at Seabrook Village in Tinton Falls. George will be interred in the Memorial Garden at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Haworth, NJ. Condolences may also be made online at
